ISP’s VARTA Simulator Expands Police Training Capabilities in Kropyvnytskyi

ISP has manufactured and installed a T1 multimedia simulator from its VARTA range at a new training facility hosted by the Dynamo Sports Society in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine. The system expands opportunities for firearms training and coordinated team practice.

Responding to armed threats, handling weapons in indoor and outdoor environments, and working as a team are among the scenarios police officers will be able to practise with VARTA. The multimedia environment combines weapons-handling practice with simulated situations relevant to police duties.

Training uses laser-equipped replicas of Makarov and Glock pistols, as well as Kalashnikov rifles. According to the Kirovohrad Regional Police, the replicas match the weight and ergonomics of their service counterparts.

Simulation and Live-Fire Practice at One Facility

Alongside the multimedia system, the Dynamo facility has opened a modernised live-fire shooting range with three firing positions and training distances of 10, 15 and 25 metres.

The range has been certified by the State Scientific Research Forensic Centre of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. Renovation was funded by the Kirovohrad regional branch of the Dynamo Sports Society.

A Joint Investment in Training

PrivatBank donated the simulator’s hardware and software, with a combined value of approximately UAH 600,000. ISP manufactured and installed the system.

According to the regional police, the simulator will also be available to veterans and serving military personnel. By bringing scenario-based simulation and live-fire practice together, the new facility provides additional training opportunities for those responsible for public safety and national defence.
