Igla / Piorun MANPADS Trainer
A system for teaching and training MANPADS operators, enabling a flexible and effective process for training operators in turn on both Igla and Piorun MANPADS.
The system provides intensive practice of every stage of anti-aircraft combat without consuming ammunition or the service life of standard-issue weapons: developing and reinforcing skills in visual reconnaissance and identification of aerial targets, aiming and firing at different locations and in different weather conditions. The training replica reproduces the weight and control ergonomics of Igla and Piorun MANPADS, helping to develop lasting muscle memory. The software accurately reproduces anti-aircraft missile ballistics and the flight physics of hostile aerial targets, and enables scenarios of any complexity to be created.
Key advantages
The training replica matches standard-issue weapons and equipment in weight, ergonomics, controls and the force required to operate them
Simulation of anti-aircraft missile flight, accounting for speed, launch angle, range and response to thermal countermeasures
Realistic simulation of cruise missiles, helicopters, fighter aircraft and UAVs, including flight physics and visual and thermal signatures
Scalability and connection of multiple training systems within a single local network
Recording operator errors and maintaining a log
Mobility and compactness: the components fit in two protective cases
Deployment from scratch in a dugout, basement or classroom takes up to 15 minutes
Integration with other training systems in a shared network for full tactical exercises
